The building is not condemned. This gas leak was at the Main Jail; it’s a totally different building that the Central Booking and Detention facility that had the explosion. The Central Booking building is condemned and now sits empty.

Hmm if the building is condemned why is anyone still being housed there. Also I wouldn’t want to work in a condemned facility maybe the guards need to stand up and say they aren’t going to work in an unsafe environment. I mean the government evicts people by force from condemned houses so I fail to see why the jail is not just torn down. Start over find some spot in the middle of no where and build a building that will house all inmates at one location. The only time they will need to leave the jail is for trial.

Give the jails back to the Sheriff. Enough is enough!!! County Commissioners or politicians do not know how to operate a jail. Get some new jail administrators in and make some changes. What next?

Utilize other methods for meals. It is a nice way of saying they are getting peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and foul smelling meat sandwiches. This is terrible and getting worse daily instead of better. We need to stand up and speak out, enough is enough. No one deserves to be treated this way. The DOJ and ACLU need to step in. We are talking about the treatment of American citizens.

Everyone talking about stuff they know nothing about the leak was very small gas pipes in most houses in Pensacola leak more.Go to all electric then some dumb inmate will spray it down with water get electrocuted than what you want to do cook with a wood stove.The accident at CBD. Was a accident caused by several events combined.No one making a real big deal about gas leak under 29.I can’t believe it even made the news.

They have already experienced they loss of lives. They really should consider going to total electricity. I really would hate to see another person die. Even if it would cost more for electricity it would be worth it to save a life.
