That is what I have always wondered. Who monitors the “lowest bid” versus the “change orders”?
And do complaints against the county contractors ever make it to the contractor’s files?

The facts:
*Our driveway was torn up over 3 months ago and there it sits.
*Mom’s driveway was torn up over 3 months ago, there it sits, washed out.
*Neighbor’s driveway torn up over 3 months ago, there it sits, washed out.
*Insufficient silt fencing has allowed numerous sediment discharges into creeks along the road.
*Piles of concrete scattered in ditches for 3 months or more.
*Mini liquor bottles all along our fence line back when they were working on the road.
*The infamous “change order” Roads, Inc is famous for–sure they won low bid–until you add the CO in.

I understand the emergency, but Roads, Inc has dragged their feet on this project.

Lowest bid is lowest bid and until some of you that complain about Roads, Inc at County Council meetings about their inefficiencies then the council must award to lowest bidder.

No one else has a chance??? It looks like like three other companies had just as much of a chance with the bidding process. Nothing is wrong with that picture. Closed Bid=Everybody has same chance at the job

roads inc.cant even finish jacks branch road must less start another one.of course they alays get county jobs and no one else has a chance. give another contractor a chance. whats wrong with that picture/
