I am very pleased with how the Ecso handled the situation. I myself was worried when we were told that they were looking for an armed man on campus. If something bad would’ve happened everyone would be looking to blame ecso for not doing enough. Thank God nothing bad happened but from what I can tell the sheriff’s office should be praised for getting there quick and getting the problem taken care of. As for the man shooting snakes, I am sure you will be fine. Please don’t try to sue them for doing there job and protecting the citizens..

I can’t believe how anti-gun people have gotten. We used to (70’s & 80’s) bring our .22lr rifles to school, hand them to the principal, then pick them up later for hunting after school. If anyone did that today, folks would have a cow, as they did in this case. Sad state of affairs in the USA. Even more sad that the teachers aren’t allowed to Carry Concealed to protect the students in Florida. At least Texas has some sense on that issue!

Somebody needs glasses. Poor fella got the mess scared out of him just hunting snakes.. back in the 80’s my dad walked down that road with his gun on his shoulder hunting squirrels and they didn’t call the swat team on him. Funny how time changes things.

Its a shame schools have to be so proactive in combating all the threats that seem to happen these days. What happened to the good ol’ days when the only thing that happened was two boys fighting over some girl.

I agree DB, as a Vet, when I got a text that said gunman on campus at Tate, I hauled butt to get there, and the ESCO had things well in hand. The Tate Staff and the ESCO did a Fantastic Job of protecting our children…
