This is a very broad and general outline. It can work, but I hope the report leads to some specific areas that can fall under these general goals. These things can happen but it’s going to take a collaborative effort from people in our town to lead the programs that will eventually achieve these goals. What’s going to happen is the Haas Center will present some programs that have worked in other places. But like most things that make a difference, there has to be support by the folks that really want to see things turn around for Century. Haas cannot wave a magic wand and say ok Century…it’s a new day! We’ve got to want positive change to get positive change. I want it!

“Interstate Commerce” sounds like the same name game as Pensacola International Airport where the International part comes because UPS has planes bringing packages in from other countries or private planes from out of the USA can bring in passengers.
Guess it means if a truck of produce goes across the state line that makes it “Interstate”.

GREAT Goals and Objectives and hope there is something behind these words for the people of Century and the surrounding area.

I still think the fish hatchery, planned for the Pensacola waterfront, would make a very good and very clean operation for Century. It could start small and expand as the needs increase and hire locals in real permanent jobs.

The words of the Mr. Harris are a grand challenge to the City Council of Century, now it is time for them to step up to the plate and move this forward for those who they represent.

Century as a regional hub for interstate commerce. Hmmmmmm. Just not seeing it, at least when the town is more concerned with farm animals than with real problems like drugs, poverty, and a lack of community pride.

Century should get into the business of selling pipe dreams to dysfunctional municipalities.

That would appear to be where the profits are.
