I like this Walmart they always are happy to have customers. They don’t mind if you come to their store everyday. Unlike other stores they are happy when you come. I started back shopping here because they price match with no problems and they are cheaper. Most of all they don’t mind if you come in often to shop.

Everybody will get what’s coming to them this isn’t the first time this has happen on craigslist.atleast the victim was smart enough to meet at a public place with the sub station there I think in his mind he knew somthing wasn’t right

They met in the Walmart parking lot because it’s a public place. Could you imagine if the victim gave the shooter(s) his address?? Instead of an attempted kidnapping and quick police response…someone might have ended up dead. NEVER meet someone you’re making a deal with on Craigslist at your home or their home. And as far as the ring and/or cost of the ring. Who cares? You can sell whatever you want on Craigslist.

Being a femal shopper that usually shops at this very store. It is alarming, but I am gratefull that I have a CWP and carry EVERYWHERE I go. I never use to think that I would own a gun, let alone carry one all the time but thanks to incedences just like this one I am grateful that I have changed my mind. And you can bet that all 3 of my children 15,16 and 11 ALL know how to use a firearm responsibly, I dont see things getting much better as they grow up. So Sad

The victim was the one selling the ring. You definatly wouldn’t won’t to meet someone at your house for a transaction off of Creiglist.

Some good will come of it. A home owner will get a $4,500 ring back that was stolen during a home invasion probably committed by Tuesday’s victim! KARMA

Am I the only one who feels it’s a little odd that someone would meet a “seller” in the parking lot at WalMart to buy a ring for $4500 in cash? If during the “show and tell time” of looking at the ring and the exchange of money did the “victim” ever ask where the ring came from? I hope the LEO will ask that same question.

@mnon, You have to be kidding me. This happened right on the same street as the ECSO Substation(Hood Dr). So it stands to reason that ECSO should be swarming all over the place.
