This is so sad. I have talked with Officer Lindberg maybe 3 times as he would come check to see if I was working late. Even though I had just met him he seemed like a long time friend with the few conversations we had. He said he would sit in our lot and eat his lunch as this was his area. Mckinley hit it right on the head. You could not ask for a better Peace Officer. My prayers go out to each of his family, Atmore Police Dept. and everyone he touched. He will be greatly missed…RIP my friend…

Mary Ann, I know it may not seem like it right now but you are a lucky lucky woman. Dean openly loved You and his family with all his heart til the day that he died. I can only hope for the same kind of love in the end. Everyone he worked with will tell you the same. We have all heard the phone calls that always ended in “I Love You” or the way his voice changed when he was talking to you or his baby girl. He was so proud of you and your accomplishments. If you guys need anything, we are a phone call away
