Dollars to donuts I'll bet the funding in the opposition to legalizing Marijuana is coming from people who own shares in Private Prisons or like Bondi, receive X amount of dollars in their budget in support of continuing the prohibition against Marijuana. The CBD medication part of legalizing Marijuana should be fast tracked in order to help these children having seizures. They need that medication yesterday. But that being said, next to alcohol and compared to the dangers of alcohol, there is no reason for Marijuana to be illegal. The State and Federal Government can save hundreds of billions of dollars by not having to enforce Marijuana Laws or not needing incarcerating non violent offenders. As a society we need to get beyond this. Along with not having to spend dollars on prohibition, we also stand to collect a bunch of tax revenue while at the same time shutting down this part of illegal drug trafficking. Follow the money.
