Jeremy,
The mask shows he went into the matter with the intention of doing an evil act.
A deadly weapon is a deadly weapon; he put his covetousness ahead of the lives of others.
His drug dealing showed further disregard for law and public safety.
His demeanor befor the judge comes into play.
Other criminal acts showed general disregard for law and public safety.

Maybe some others should get harsher sentences, but there is little reason to think he should get a lighter one. Concurrent sentences say the assorted crimes don’t count since the punishment is unchanged after the first. Consecutive sentences mean each crime deserves to be punished.

Moral of this story? Don’t bug the judge in the first place.

Rapist and Dui Manslaughters get only 15 years. This guy gets 70 without raping or killing anyone. Got it.

I so agree with you Molino Mom, Molesters and Rapist should get similar sentences since they don’t get the death penalty like they should.

First of all, I do not know either one of these defendants. But I am truly amazed at how warped our justice system is. While robbery is no “petty crime”, how does this man get such a long prison term, yet murderers and child molesters get less than half this time – IF any at all? Our justice system is ridiculous!
