I've been in a wreck because someone was doing a u-turn on 29 to go east on I-10. If you're scared of the roads go around them. The State needs to do something about this clusterfu**. And also exiting from west 10 to south 29...it's posted 45 mph but has anyone ever successfully done a 90 degree right turn that fast and not wrecked?

I'm not sure if the person that designed this interchange was smoking crack or drunk on Moonshine. If you are traveling South on 29, you have to fight cars exiting the West bound lane only to have to again fight to get on the interstate in the fast lane.

TOTALLY AGREE with 29 south to I-10 east bound ramp into fast lane. This is a disaster waiting to happen. Every time I take this exit I turn off the radio, prepare to physically turn my head back to try and see if someone is going to let me in the lane when they are going 65 to 70 mph. always in fear either someone is going to not let me in or if someone is going to rear end me if I have to stop because no one will move over and let me merge onto I-10. I have had to completely stop one day because no one would move over. Totally agee someone must have been on drugs when designing this ramp. Need to fix what is wrong before spending to improve.

I hope they determine the reason those terrific pot holes are forming instead of just covering them up just prior to Hwy 29 heading west. They have gotten worse quickly and are quite a surprise when you hit them at night. The merge lanes are a nightmare and even with knowing what to expect and how to get up on I10 - travelers not familiar with the area are still busting butt at 70mph or more instead of the posted speed and seldom move over because they are trying got pass everyone doing the speed limit or anywhere near it. I think they need flashing strobes on the speed limit change on both sides of I10 to draw attention to the decrease. Such a dangerous area. A semi totaled my daughters car when she slowed down due to mechanical failure as he barreled into her but he and his friend convinced the officer that she changed lanes in front of him causing the accident. Fortunately she lived but we've always been leery of the "white wall" area.

Mario LOL.....navigating the curve on the on ramp has nothing to do with the problem....the problem is you must merge into the left (supposed to be passing lane) lane and if there are multiple cars coming east bound on I10, you do run out of lane, and must stop. The problem is compounded when you have multiple cars trying to merge onto I10 eastbound. It is on a hill, around a curve and drivers going east on I10 who are not familiar with that area may not realize that hidden from their view is an on ramp in the LEFT lane, so they don't get over to the right. Stupid design from day one....

Totally Agree with the issue on South 29 to I-10 East...Stupid Idea to have drivers merging into the Fast Lane of an Interstate Highway. Too bad they are not going to fix that at the same time. Plus...there are a lot of areas that need resurfacing worse that that area...

I will agree this interchange is not a great design...but, if people knew how to drive, and utilize the capabilities of their automobiles, they could navigate this turn at a proper speed, which makes it much easier to merge.

Heck, most folks won't go around this turn at the posted speed limit. Any modern family sedan can safely navigate that turn at 15 over the posted speed.

Just go. Your car will not tip over. You just have to learn how to drive, and interpret what your tires are telling you.

I agree bad design, exit off west bound I-10 onto 29 northbound you have 5 lanes of traffic merging into 2 about a 1/2 mile before a red light. Let's widen 29 to 6 lanes at least to 9 mile road.
