You Would be surprised how many homeless access everything Online. Multiple Businesses now a days have free public WiFi. All your library s have WiFi 24/7 and Public access Computers. All they need is a Old phone, it doesn't even need to have service just turn on and they can surf the internet with WiFi. They would be more inclined to get it here than any news paper or word to mouth source.

>>Was wondering how many homeless people really know about this? I assume they won’t get the message via computer…and if other people who live without enough heat in their homes to need this service, I also assume they cannot afford a computer.

A surprising number of homeless people have computers or smartphones, especially in the Pensacola metro.

But I agree -- this is one time NorthEscambia.com is not the best way to reach the homeless population of Century. But we do reach the people that know how to find the homeless.

And NorthEscambia turned to several area radio stations and asked them to broadcast the information, along with local TV.

Any other ideas?

What other methods of communication are being used to get the word out to those in need?
