Depends on what you are driving. If you have a large, sturdy vehicle, you might be better off to steer straight, hit the brakes hard and pray. If you have a small vehicle, the deer could end up inside the car with you, so evasive action may be a better descision. Of course, when you are flying down the road, in the dark or at dusk, and Bambi leaps out in front of you….well, lets just say you dont usually have time to make a choice. Most people just react. For the record, I used to be anti deer hunting. After living out here in the sticks for over 20 years, and hitting more deer than you can shake a stick at, I am pro hunting! Dang things are worse than rabbits!

I have been told its best to take the deer out..rather than risk what could happen if you get into the oncoming lane…could have been worse…jus sayn

Be careful out there…the deer and bears are starting to wander around now and may dart out in front of your vehicle. I know everyone probably knows this but just a reminder…..
