Folks who have owned property with livestock need to be grandfathered. Otherwise, get a good lawyer.

As a horse owner I’m very upset about this, our horses are a huge part of our family. To have a horse is more than just merely having “a pet”. I can’t believe this is even being considered. The animals that my kid & I choose to have should be just that, our choice. I would like to stress the fact that the council meeting on this will be held tonight, for those like myself that are affected, I’d encourage you to show up & share your thoughts.

The City Council is ONLY considering the ban. They want public input. This matter is being looked into due to the number of complaints that the city gets considering the look and smell of neighborhoods that have barnyard animals.

So if you are OPPOSED to the ban, GO TO THE MEETING and voice your opinion and have facts to back up your opinion.

If you ARE FOR THE BAN, again go to the meeting and voice your opinion and have facts to back up your opinion, especially if the smell and look of the property is bring down the property value on your street, or causing you any discomfort.

Perhaps we should adopt an ordinance to keep the “town council” away from city limits. The duds running Century are the stink in Century

This is crazy! You should be able to have what you want on your land as long as the animals are taken care of. People wake up after Obamacare kicks in we are going to need these animals to survive. I pay a lot of taxes for my property in Century and the town needs to put more effort into cleaning up some of the houses and take the drug dealers off the streets! Let people have their animals after all we are in a rural area. Town needs to focus on other issues I.e. Streets and such. Leave the animals alone

this is very scary and ridiculous!! century is nothing but rural property how and why could they even consider this???!!!!! don’t they have anything better to do then tell people what they can have as pets…….
