Lisa, sounds like Pcola Paul has his insurance license. contact and damage to a vehicle with animals is covered by comprehensive coverage, whether it was a collision or not.

Pcola Paul, my husband had a deer hit him in side door, it was Collision.

I Don’t think he hit two Deers, Theres no Front damage to the Vevicle. maybe ran off the road and lost confrol is more likely what HAPPENED. Just saying.

1. Hit a cow in Iowa once, really tweaked the front of my vehicle. Hope the driver is okay….For the deer, probably ran off with internal injuries….

Pcola Paul, it would never count as comp. anyway, wreck is a wreck, comp. is when a rock hits your windshield, not a deer.

the driver is probably claiming the accident was because of Deer so that his insurance claim would go under his comprehensive coverage and not his collision coverage, I think the police report and lack of evidence of deer being involved will hurt his claim. glad he was able to walk away from the wreck.

Just because you hit a Deer doesn’t mean it killed it,
2 weeks ago in cantonment a deer ran out and hit the side
And left a good size dent , the deer fell and went crazy for
a sec and then ran. I can’t see the whole truck so maybe he
was hit . More people should not judge it’s not your job.

Hmmmm, I think I may have to agree with the cops, if he hit “at least” 2 deer, why is there NO damage to the front end of his car? You can see it very plainly in the photo here.
I’m not accusing him of any wrong doing-just pointing out a fact. Very happy that he only received minor injuries, could have been alot worse!
