If it’s needed then congrats We are friends with both paid AND volunteer fire & rescue. Yes volunteer do it for “free” but hey …. they choose to volunteer. Its in their heart to do that I respect and admire ALL fire and first responders. As far as coverage …. If you choose to live outside of major city hubs … well that’s just always been life ….. the more dense the population the more “need” for MORE protection. The further away you live from major cities the more likely you have to wait longer for response…. but again that’s where volunteers come into play. Ill say this … I have (unfortunately) had to have police respond on one occasion and ambulance on a separate occasion…… I can honestly say (even though with the medical one having it been my child and you know as a MOM the world seems to been ending and no one moves fast enough for you) I can honestly say …. That all Emergency responses have been timely and with the greatest of care from all these ladies and men in these fields. If you wanna help provide them with locations and equipment ….. Pay your taxes BUT follow up that your officials are putting those taxes to good use too Also you can volunteer to help them. Heck they appreciate a pat on the back and a thank you for what they do

I guess JANE doesn’t like VOL. Fire depts. Even though they are held to the same standards and qualifications as the career crews. They donate a lot of our time and money to do what they do, and they get crucified 10 times more by the public. They had a career crew from 7am to 4pm, they went to cantonment to fill a greater need. Molino is all VOL and there is nothing wrong with that. If you only knew what we do and go though to get there, if you only knew.

Jane, Molino had a daytime paid crew M-F until they moved them to Cantonment for 24/7 coverage

Good for Perdido Key. When does the Molino Fire Department get to be paid firefighters instead of volunteers? As usual the northend of Escambia County is neglected.
