Just found out that the starting pay for Certified Correction Officers with the BOCC at the Road Camp is 20 cents more an hour than a 10 year veteran at the ECSO makes per hour. What an insult to those ECSO who have to now work under the BOCC starting October 1st. Even though I heard they were getting a 2% increase starting Oct 1st, that will only bring them up close to equal pay. Our BOCC is a joke. No wonder good officers are quitting and some even moving out of town. Public safety has taken a serous back seat with the BOCC.
