Multiple towns around here have similar play areas. My kids go all the time. It's cheap entertainment for parents, and keeps kids up moving instead of veggied out in front a tv. Bay Minette and Brewton both have a splash pad, and I have been countless times and never seen a child get hurt, nor had mine get sick from the "germs". Germs are everywhere, and worrying abut them in an area that is constantly washed away by flowing water seems quite silly. Kathy.

That money could be used for others things to help people.we have alot of Housing problems that did not get addressed. .Put the money in fixing up our town and Don't worry about something where kids can and will get hurt. The few times i have returned "home" aside from the sandwich deli there is nothing in Century worth seeing or doing.
