Walking most anywhere is dangerous in the USA unless it’s in the cities where they have sidewalks & parks. We need to look more at walking and biking paths to connect schools and many other areas with residential areas. Sometimes these paths are found along roadways and other times they go cross country. You find them all over Europe but only in recent years has this Country started installing them. They should be much cheaper than adding width onto a paved road and much less dangerous. There’s supposed to be grant money from DOT to build what’s called “Green ways” and trail systems to “connect” areas that should be connected in this manner. Emphasis should be given to areas such as schools and commercial areas. It can’t be done overnight but planning could get started.

We need to widen and repair and strip the north end roads for our children going to and from Molino to Northview High school ! Hwy 164 is way too narrow, and Pine Barren needs paving from Hwy 29 to Hwy 4 and striping. We need to help our kids stay safe going to school.

Road striping is a real problem on these roads. Crabtree & Gibson both were re-paved over 9 months ago. I complain about the strping not being replaced like it was orginally with the re-paving at least 2 times was told first time it would be handled by Mr, Berry then I call back a month later and was told by a engineer their wasn’t any money in the budget for re-striping. So in other words I will believe it when I see it!!! Don’t believe everything the county promise’s.

Sounds to me like ” same old, same old”. We were really hoping some improvements would be made to these very narrow, pot-holed roads but doesn’t look like we will see it.

They need to worry about highway 95a at Jim Allen School. Traffic is being blocked from both directions because they have so many students being picked up around 1:30. It may not sound like a problem to most folks but for us trying to get home or work it is and God forbid an Emergency support of any kind trying to get by. We have bad roads everywhere!

What about the dirt roads that were promised to be paved? Commissioner after commissioner has promised for more than 30 years. I still live on a dirt road.

As Far Has the Roads, People need to slow down. even School Bus are speeding. yes its true if two large vehicles are tring to pass one of them will take tires off. Thats been going on for years, maybe fresh paint will help see better at night. But our School buses are going to fast with our childern on them.

On hwy 99 from186 to state 97, if a school bus meets a truck or even another school bus one if not both have to get two wheels off the pavement.

Regi Burkett, is right. Theses roads need widening really bad. You past by a car and it scares you but Lord if a big truck comes by you I pray they stay on there edge of the road and not take half my lane. The striping will help at night.
