This consolidation was met with some opposition but nearly 20 years of academic and athletic success proves it was the right thing to do. I realize no one wants to loose their family high school where they and many of their family members graduated from, particularly Walnut Hill named after the community founder and patriarch of so many members of the ward family, who I consider my good friends. Change is difficult but sometimes necessary. With that said I want to personally congratulate young Mr Robinson for his future at Penn State. Not only athletically but academically. I personally knew the late Mrs. Leola Robinson from Century and he if he is related to her is from a fine christen family. Again the best of luck and you have made Escambia County proud.
