That way you don't wind up stiffing folks who trusted you to pay for what you bought and you don't make THEM go into bankruptcy or simply out of business, costing the jobs of any employees they may have had. On the other hand, with his attitude, this fellow could go all the way to the top since that seems to be the standard groupthink of the federal government, pass the debt onto the next generation to handle.
