Often those gatherings can cause unwelcome odors. With all the rain and standing water it could also be from stagnated pools or what we used to call "swamp gas". I smelled it yesterday driving down Hwy 112 between Wilcox Rd and Barrineau Park road. I did notice that it was only strong around the ag fields.
