The way he comes up with them is because the majority of the time when you call to report a crime, you are told....and I quote..."there's nothing we can do". They then leave and the call is coded out and it is never counted. This has happened to me personally and I continuously hear others who got the same response when a crime has clearly occurred. This is a game he is playing and it is ruining this county. Don't bother to call the ECSO because they will not do anything and the criminals know it! They have been given free reign to do as they please with no consequences! I worked at the SO and there was a time when the officers took pride in there job and wanted to make this a safe place to live, crimes were solved even without the cooperation of the surrounding citizens, the sheriff was available to the public and did not make jokes about victims to distract the attention from his poor performance, law enforcement officers were who you called and trusted to help you and enforce the law. That is no longer the case. Your stats, David Morgan are a bunch of crap! These stats are a total lie!
