So, wonder exactly how many times does that make Charlie “flip-flop” Crist “Newly Minted” Republican-Independent-Democrat ________ (fill in the blank). And he wants to be the next Gov. — Again.

I agree with others here, anyone who is wanting to be the state’s CFO should have a better record than this guy and have their own house in order. This one does not seem to meet those points..

Hey, maybe he thinks he will have better luck controlling the state’s spending than he did his wife’s, lol. Obviously, he has too many weaknesses handling money to be seriuosly considered as a “Financial Officer”. Seriously folks, is this the best that Florida has to pick from????? How about hiring a teacher, married with kids, who has to budget an unimpressive salary, paid once a month? I guaranty that he or she has a better understanding of how far a dollar really goes and how to pay all of their debts on time. No excuses.

It means you left off the main word.
Read it again with the next word included:
“The newly-minted Democratic candidate ”

It means he has just filed as a candidate.
He was already a Democrat.

“Newly Minted Democrat”……what the heck does that mean?
Is this dude like the “Upside of Democrats”?
Sounds like an ideal upstanding citizen who “feels the pain” — the pain of being found out.
Amazed Rick Scott has not snatched him under his wing and appointed to a cabinet post.
Maybe he can fly into the Pensacola “International” Airport and be squired around town by our upstanding local officials.
My goodness, where are the REAL persons who could do good jobs in public office?
Seems the past many years one has to have a record of disgrace or arrests to be a viable candidate….Help.

I guess this is the new twist on setting an example. According to another article on this page it seems that our law department employees have the same twist of setting an example.
