Gas prices are already going up so we really don’t need tropical weather now. It IS coming, not a matter of if but when. Look out for those late season storms which are usually the bad ones.

No matter how I prepare, my neighbor’s trees that did not fall during Erin, Opal, Ivan, and Dennis, still loom over my house and outbuildings. They are healthy big trees, and, my deductible has run into several thousand dollars from damage from the trees that did fall during these storms. I have no trees to threaten anybody. Should I “stand my ground?”

Wee haw! Here we go again. This one is heading up the east coast though. If it drops below Cuba, thats when we worry.

That came together quicker than I expected. It did have some dry air around it, but I guess it didn’t care.
If High Pressure from the Atlantic that is reaching into the Gulf of Mexico hangs in there for the next week and a half, Dorian can go the long way over Cuba, then into the Yucatan Peninsula and from there to Mexico.

This would be the last thing our area needs…especially after all the weeks and days of continuing rain, flooding street ways. Our ground could not hold trees up through a hurricane. The potential damage would be terrible. Please, not here!
