I have always heard wonderful things about COTP… still do. My friend’s daughter was at camp during the accident and she didn’t know anything about it until I asked her if her daughter was involved after seeing it here. She was not thrilled about not receiving a call… but her daughter did have a good time and will go back.

My Grand-daughter was involved in the hayride accident and was taken to the hospital. This is her 2nd year at Camp O’ The Pines. She loves going to the camp. Sheis sore, which the doctor told us she woiuld be….I just thank God none of the kids were hurt bad!!! I think the staff at the camp handled the situation very well. I agree with what other parents are saying “accidents happen” and this was just one of those freak accidents. I will be sending her as long as she wants to go and as long as she can go….I wanna say thanks to the staff at the camp for looking out for my grand-daughter as well as they did till we got there!!!

My daughter was one of the ones to go to the hospital, she was OK and she is going next week too.

My daughter attended Camp O’ the Pines every year until her age wouldn’t allow it. She loved it and would have stayed the whole summer if she could have. For many years this camp has outreached to our children and has been run very professionally. They have been around since the 1950’s and their safety record speaks for itself. My daughter has fond memories of her days at camp and will keep these with her forever. If she could still go I wouldn’t hesitate for a moment to send her again. I have no doubt that the leaders handled this situation in the best manner that was possible. This camp is loved by many people and I hope it will be around for many more years!

My children have attended for many years and we have NEVER worried about their safety. This is such a freak accident. I would not hesitate to send my children there and I recommend it to all families with children in the 8-12 year old age group.

My granddaughter has attended Camp of Pines and had a blast! When she read the article, she was very upset and said a prayer for all the families and their children. She would go again at any given time.

Two of my children were also involved in the hayride accident. Unfortunately, we had to find out about the accident from the newspaper. Our kids were scared and one has a hurt thumb. They only notified the parents of the kids taken to the hospital. Good camp, but they should have made 25 more phone calls to the remaining parents. Just saying….
I pray the other kids are okay.

Our kids attended Camp O The Pines every year until they became too old to do so. The Camp is run very professionally and is a wonderful experience for the children. Accidents can happen anywhere and to any organization. COTP has an awesome safety record overall and I would not hesitate to send my kids there again if I could.

My child was involved in the hayride incident but was not hurt. The camp called this morning and allowed us to speak with her. This is her 2nd time at this camp and we have been extremely pleased. The camp is well organized and seems to have handled this accident well.
