Let’s see; does anyone want to bet whether John B. (Molested) is either a UWF employee, a money lender, or a Realtor? Does UWF really need a football stadium for it’s non existent football team, an old folks home,and a country club with golf course? The legislature and Governor need to exert far more oversight over what Florida’s University System is doing with our hard earned money

There is a glaring discrepancy in the middle right side of that rendering above. It shows a football stadium which is about as useless as teats on a boar hog. I was unaware that UWF even has a football team. This is like putting the cart before the horse. Idiotic moves like this remind me of the movie “Field of Dreams”. “If we build it, they will come.”

All Universities have commecial interest. They partner with major OEM.s and Government entities to construct models for R&D and maintain commercial infrastructure to support and grow the University they have to have funds from somewhere and tax dollars do not cover that. I think it is great and can really put UWF and Florida on the map and create a lot of local revenue for hotels and restaurants and other venues. Grow the athletic department. This is great thing for area.

One doesn’t have to look far to figure out why tuition is skyrocketing. How in the world can a Florida State Institution justify having a so called (for profit division). Let the money lenders and developers take on projects such as these, and Let UWF worry about educating our young people.

An old folks home on the campus??? Could you imagine hundreds of old folks complaining about the noise every time someone scores a touchdown at the new stadium. lol
