He stayed with the victim until the ambulance arrived. Also, yes, there was another accident around 5am the next morning in the exact same place. A cow wandered into the road from the pasture where the truck, hit the fence and knocked it down. Prayers for a complete recovery to all! They was driving a pt cruiser and the cow had gotten out and was crossing the road. And I'm sure people who have wrecked on Chumuckla highway, including Cory, doesn't mean to wreck in the first place. And since this incident in particular was due to heavy rain, I know that you weren't referring to Cory when you said that people just run of the pavement in perfect weather or for no obvious reason. And I'm sure texting while driving or talking on the phone plays a big role in some wrecks I will go ahead and let the family of Cory know that you weren't trying to insinuate that he was doing either of those things even though it sounds like maybe you were. Every time I travel this road some one runs off the right side of the road on to the soft shoulder. I would estimate that one out of every five cars run off the side of the road or the right side wheels are nearly off the road and this is in perfect weather and there is no obvious reason. There has been many accidents and deaths on chumuckla hwy. caused by running off the right side of the road. I suspect that talking or texting on the phone plays a part in some of it.
