Thank you to the state or the county which ever is responsible for these new lights. The intersection of Jernigan and Nine Mile Road has been the site of multiple accidents. In most instances, it’s traffic trying to cross Nine Mile Road. To the ney sayers, you need to slow down anyhow. The average speed for traffic on Nine Mile Road in that area is somewhere North of 50 mph. People in a hurry to get somewhere simply needs to start sooner..

Now you can put back the median opening from fox run, instead of making us having to turn and hunt opening to turn back left on nine mile.When you do find opening you cannot always see cars coming from the bottom of hill. This new way has presented dangerous situations for workers from Central CU, West Florida employees and patients. Also presents problems for ambulance when coming and picking up emergency patients to get them to hospital. They have to go down the road and turn back when they could just cross over the rd. The new traffic light gives opportunity to cross over 9 mile toward Pace easier now, but the county has made it more diffcult at the fox run entrance.

Thanks for the headsup! Slow down everbody really just notice those speed limit signs!………..If you want to see everyone get frustrated go the speed limit it drives people crazy,they just dont get it! LOL..Have a safe ride!

This light is beyond ridiculous. Like 99% of the other traffic lights in the ‘metropolis’ of Pensacola, it is unnecessary and will just make traffic worse than it has to be. If you can’t make your way into traffic on 9 Mile Road, please don’t ever consider driving in a real city, you’ll just kill someone.

But sure, let’s waste money on items for the public safety, God forbid we invest in things like making the port profitable or repairing the vast majority of the bridges in the area that are in disrepair.

Now it would be nice if:

1.) A traffic light would be installed at West Nine Mile Rd. and Stefani Rd. to allow Milestone residents/guests to exit subdivision more easily.

2.) Now that road work is finished on West Nine Mile Rd. repair the RR crossing by Chili’s Grill & Bar and Untreiner Avenue. It’s HORRIBLE.
