Last year they tried to go private the company that got the contract bragged the $230 MILLION contract was the largest they ever had,and that was just for the northern region. If the St.of Fl can pay this why not cover the $45M for d.o.c. so we don’t lose the what I was told was a bonus not a raise. their #’s don’t add up.

the cuts do not need to come from the guards pay. there are many ways the inmates can take a cut, and they should. also the big wigs can cut their perks.

I knew that he would figure out a way to take our proposed raise on Oct. 1st.! I wish I knew what he had against the men and women that keep our communities safe from the convicted criminals in our society.

luvdljr…if ya do ya research ya will see that number was twice that before… EVERYONE MUST CUT… and contrary to the Escambia Co. Comm. raising taxes is NOT the answer… I have to cut my spending, tax me more and I go bankrupt…

The fat cat upper level of d.o.c. officials need to take pay cuts and lose some perks like d.o.c. paid for cars and houses. Instead guards will take a hit and inmates will move closer to concentration camp status.
