The comment is about second chances. The Bible is about second chances. Seems pretty clear to everyone but you. This man deserved death for his actions. The wages of sin is death. For all of us. I personally think that breaking into someone’s home is one of the worst things that you can do to them. I have had my home burglarized and it is a scary and awful fealing that doesn’t go away for a while. Many of us get second chances when we don’t deserve them. If we take advantage of them then great. Otherwise, hell is in our future. I would be a little more careful before start judging “the church” as you call it. Sound like you may need do a little more thinking sometimes and less talking.

Sure it makes sense. To say his actions deserved death is a bit harsh but there is reason to support the statement and is in keeping with Christian teaching that we are all sinners who deserve death. As he is right now, he is a danger to all others.

To say he hopes he repents is in keeping with Christian teaching regarding mercy and salvation. If he becomes a different person, he will no longer be deserving of death.

No reason to be unkind to him especially since he is not being inconsistent, nor unkind.

Your comments make no sense. You say that the guy deserved death for his actions yet you hope he turns his life around, and gets saved. If you think he is lost and he should have died then you would have wanted him to go to Hell. Yet, you hope now he gets saved and goes to Heaven. This is a picture of what is wrong with the church today. The church is full of biblically igonorant people not stupid. But in your case Bobby you sound like both.
