Privatization is a slap in the face for State workers who have been marginalized by the current administration. The privateers can't do it cheaper or better then proven prison workers. Those who support this tell the public lies and promises but have done nothing here in Florida than subpar work and have constantly not been able to fulfill their contracts. Private companies thrive when true competition is present on a daily basis. The state should be left with functions that require their involvement. I would not be surprised if this blows up in their face both the privateers and those who support this. The legislators who support this will be losing votes and public trust andy will pay just like those state workers and teachers have paid for their misplaced crap. State workers in Florida are underpaid and per capita the least when compared with other states and private agencies but they never talk about this do they why so they can spread their half truths. Mark my words times are changing.
