Yep, you have not read the latest court decisions from around Florida. I know what the castle doctrine says. Read what defense lawyers and juries are doing.

Oh another thing- for anyone who God Forbid has this situation- If you DO shoot a CRIMINAL who breaks in your home- Be careful of what you say to the police and prosecutor. As you can see from some of the posts, there are those in the world who would DEFEND the actions and subsequent results of these creeps. NEVER say you “shoot to kill” You simply state “I told him to get on the floor, he stepped forward- I shot him to stop him from harming me”. DO NOT DEVIATE the bottom line is simple- He posed a threat, you acted to STOP that threat. Squeeze off 2 roounds and then you checked to see if he “complied”. Once he’s hit, call 911

I read the post at the top of the comments- Are you kidding? head trauma? Needing help? YOU RING THE DOORBELL PROFESSOR! Anyone who would enter my home, armed or not at 2 am and I dont know them broke in to thier last house ever. The law clearly provides that this poses a threat. (except maybe New York). If this clown broke through my locked house, he’s leaving in a body bag….PERIOD.

An unarmed man with no vehicle breaks into a home at 2am by kicking in the door. The last time I heard about an incident like that, the guy had been in a car wreck, and was suffering the effects of a head trauma and was trying to get help from the only house he could find within walking distance.

Glad nobody died there because breaking into a house while unarmed and with no getaway vehicle tells me there’s more to this story than is being reported.

That is absolutely incorrect in this situation. If someone breaks into your home and gets wounded by the homeowner the “Castle Doctrine” protects the homeowner from lawsuits. This also has nothing to do with CCW. You are not required to be a CCW holder to have firearms in you home or on your property.
You never shoot to wound (but not for fear of lawsuits)! You shoot to end the threat. A wounded intruder may still be capable of harming you or your family.

Then, maybe, you should actually read Diane Feinstein’s Gun Grabber Bill she wanted to pass. If even included .22 Cal Semi-Auto Rifles, which have been so many young kids First Firearm it is legendary. If you were really a “Realist” you would also know that the firearms she wanted banned were included due to Scary Black Features…not just due to capability. The exact same firearms, but with Wood Stocks and no Pistol Grip…were not on the list. Look at the NY Safe Act…restricting firearms, or tried to until they realized the mags were not made, to “7 Rounds” no matter what the firearms came with originally. If enforced…that was a Gun Ban due to the restrictions. The background checks would have done nothing either, as when was the last time a Criminal stopped by for a NICS Check!!! The only reason Feinstein, Bloomberg, Emmanuel or Obama have not taken our firearms…is because they can not get the votes to do it. If they could…with a little research…you can find the truth!!! “Realist”….Yeah…Right…

Glad this Homeowner was prepared and He and his Dog came out good. Hopefully the Judge will provide the THUG a long stay in a Bama Jail!!!

“mic hall” not sure what country club your family works at but sorry in florida state prisons inmates have no a/c no way to text or download music unless a dirty officer has brought them something in. their communication options are usps or collect phone calls which both are monitored I know this because I work in ane now!

DO SOME RESEARCH. Shooting to wound can lead to lawsuits for aggravated battery ,especially for concealed carry. This is somewhat different.
Read the court decisions before spurting your “opinion” or what so and so told you they heard.
