V. Baggett I am sure the did appreciate the recognition they received.Which is all well and good. However its dishonest to tell the kids they are getting scholarship money and then not actually follow through. Many of those kids are trying to scrape every last $ they can get for college and many were disappointed. Very shameful of PSC to do that. Thats why the can afford to offer that as a reward cause very few people will actually use it.

Its like winning the lottery and getting paid monopoly money.

Congratulations to all of these winners, especially the kiddos from Northview. Go Chiefs. And as far as Kala’s comment: I hope these students learn to appreciate any recognition they get, regardless of whether they will be using it. Nobody owes anyone ANYTHING, and to get ANY sort of recognition is such a great accomplishment. Thank you, PSC!

Congrats all winners. However it would have been nice of Pensacola State College if the book scholarship could be used anywhere and NOT if you just enrolled into their school. Very few of the people last night stated they would be attending PSC. Many a child was disappointed thinking they were getting actual scholarship money to use for books when it can only be used at PSC IF you go to that school. Not worth the paper it was written on

Tonights awards showcased the talent we are nurturing in Escambia County. I watched with pride as each high school came forward to individually recognize each of their students.
