I hope Antonio Moorer gets put away forever, never to be set free on us again. BUT, the brave law enforcement people are to serve and protect us. I don’t think the speeding police vehicles going down Michigan Ave with traffic in all four lanes was very protective.
Also the correlation to alcohol makers is quite a stretch.

Yes, let the professionals (ECSO) handle the problem. It’s surprising how people who are unwilling to put on the uniform and put their lives on the line are so quick to critique the decisions that the people who protect us make.

Thank God no one died in this incident. That being said, it’s also surprising how people scream “SUE SUE SUE” because the lady was injured in the accident, yet no one screams “SUE SUE SUE alcohol manufacturers” becuase of the thousands of DUI deaths in the country.

Antonio Moorer is the convicted felon with multiple drug charges and a habitual traffic offender (also a felony). Antonio Moorer is the one who chose to flee in a vehicle. Antonio Moorer is the one who put the public at risk. Antonio Moorer is the one who lost control of his vehicle. Antonio Moorer is the one who injured the lady. Antonio Moorer is the bad guy… ECSO are the good guys and did the job that no one else wants to do. They do it so we don’t have to!

seems like they tried to stop him when they realized he was wanted for failure to appear in a felony drug case, which usually means, he ain’t gonna be so easy to find, I have a feeling there is going to be another charge pending, because if I remember right Escambia’s policy still has to be a violent felony to chase

I am amazed at the callousness of some people. Have you ever been driving and could not pin point where the sirens were coming from. What if they are coming up behind you at around 90 mph. The poor woman never had a chance.

If he was being chased for a minor traffic offense, it was dangerously wrong to pursue him. If they knew who he was before the chase, get backup and stop him. Or they probably knew how to find him anyway. Now, who do you think is going to pay for all this. Mostly the Escambia county property owners. The county will probably be sued. Some fancy downtown lawyer will get another condo or Porsche out of it.

I knew this young man, along with his brother and a sister. They were not raised right. Mom would put the brother on the bus with a bag of chips for breakfast. Antonio was a sweet natured kid who really didnt have much of a chance to be a decent citizen because his role models were less than upstanding members of society. All of that doesnt come close to excusing what he did though. Why were they chasing his THIS TIME? Who cares. Im really sorry that lady got hurt but if there were 20 cop cars youd think she would have heard the sirens and got out of the way. Hope she is ok. To Antonio, I told you over and over “you are smart. you are better than your raising, you can achieve greatness if you only try” Too bad he didnt try. Now he will rot in prison, a burden on society just like his worthless parents. Wish I had tried harder to reach this kid. Wondering how his sibs are doing? Hope they dont let him out of prison yet again. Epic fail on our court system!
