Limewire was initially for “illegally” downloading music. I used it for music in the early 00’s for downloading music. It’s disgusting to read that it had child porn on it. To think I was close to be exposed to that is heart wrenching. Limewire eventually started charging for access several years ago, I’m speculating, to prevent from being sued by the music industry I’m relieved it’s been shut down.

I agree wit the other poster about finding the root of all evil: the site owner themselves. If they can get your ISP number and raid your home and find these on your laptop, why won’t they trace it back to the source and let the Feds arrest the monsters that are distributing it to begin with?

My next question is are they able to locate the children that are been victimized and arrest the adults actually TAKING the movies?

What a sick, sick world we all live in.

To Ban; one such site was shut down a year or so ago..called Limewire i beleive.Initially it was for downloading music but evidently went onto more profitable stuff such as child pornagraphy.A federal judge shut it down i belelive…

@Ban, the bonds are set higher to make it difficult for these monsters to bail out and get back to their sinister and morbid passtimes.

I fail to see how anyone could recieve sexual gratification through the physical and mental torture of a child. Cruel and unusual crimes, should recieve creative and imaginitive punishments.

Homeland Security should focus cyber attacks against the servers, that are supporting these crimes against helpless children.

January: When one person shoots another person, let’s say, they have commited ONE count of aggravated battery. When one person downloads 100 movies they have commited 100 counts. So in bonding you can take the highest allowable bond set forth in the guidelines and multiply it by each count.

Does it make sense? No. But that is how people like this get higher bonds.

Also, bond guidelines are not set by local or state officers. They are set by the judge’s within each circuit. So many times, a suspect has been given a bond that is the maximum allowable by this circuit and people will blame the officer not realizing they have done everything possible to keep that suspect behind bars.

ok i read this a few times to make sure i read it right now what he did was wrong but what i dont get is why is this crimes bond higher than most any other like drug /attempted murder and so on im fine with the bond just woundering . second he down loaded it did not make the movies and they are looking for others that received this stuff ? why not find the site shut it down and get the people running it or that made it that might stop some of this or slow it down
