@just the facts. Your whole statement is hogwash. We may be rural but that shouldnt excuse a company for charging premium service prices for mediocre service at best. I know folks who live in remote areas of Montana that pay less and have better service than frontier provides. You dont think that another phone company could come in here because it would not be profitable? Then why did Frontier come in? Just to help us poor yahoos out and not make a profit? Whatever
This company has poor equipment, poor customer service, awful technicians and apparently no plans to change any of the above and its a crying shame that they are the only game in town.

Sandra,if the public service commission yanks their franchise you want have anything but cell avalible.no one else will come into a rule area and spend millions of dollars and start from scratch for a few hundred customers.Ashley, do you think they wanted it to go down?something happened,a mistake or something broke,I can tell you for a fact someone was called out to fix this problem on a Sunday.this kind of thing probably happened long before northescambia was here and the world didn’t come to an end.be thankful N.E. Was here to help. Puddin,frontier has been a nation wide company for a long long time and for a while now it has been totally legal for ANY company,ATT,,verison,or brighthouse cable to come into your area and has in some select places.they just want because again,money money money.not enough can be made in a rual area to do so. I wish I had faster service sometimes to but when I think about how remote I chose to live I am just glad I have what I have, my neighbor who has ATT can’t even get DSL,and phone service is the same,at least we got something.and the local guys are real nice to.

The public service does nothing now. They gave up regulation a while back. Thats part of the problem. Folks started giving up landlines for cell so they threw up their hands and walked away. Erin frontier always puts the blame on others especially at&t. At&t has no local lines in your area and i think you know it. Besides you don’t hear people in surrounding at&t areas with our problems.

I live out and got very poor speed from Frontier DSL along with all the other problems. Changed to a Verizon JetPack that runs just as fast out here without hardly any problems and at a considerable savings. Not I can take my computer almost everywhere. JetPack and cell phone, no home phone line needed.

@sandra…………..I called them to tell them my internet was bad.. I got this…. “You live in a congested area. ” I am like what!!! i live in the dang country!!!! He said,” we are using all of the old att lines and they need to be replaced. but until they get made we cant do anything about it. And there is only one company that makes them.” What?! Let me get this straight. i pay for the most expensive one you have and you cant replace lines to make it run better?
needless to say i didnt get anywhere with them.

I asked 20 years ago why Frontier was the only company available here. I was told that it was because they were a small business and could hold a monopoly because of that. I have since found out that they are actually a Nationwide company. So, if all the residents get together and insist that all other companies be allowed to compete for and provide service to this area maybe we could get Frontier to provide better service.
