As a current employee,mill manager Gunter was very safety concious but the mill supervisors were more concerned with production. They say one thing but in the end production won out over safety.

After over 40+ years hear I have seen 6 Mill managers and other Managers come and go I just wish WE could get A Mill & other Managers that care about safety as they do about moving up the company later. WE need more leadership , guidance & harmony for employees not just jugement attitude. We have some of the very best experienced employees production & maintenance that is willing to help

The current group of management and employees at the Pensacola Mill are extremely committed to safety. There will always be injuries and unfortunately fatalities in the industry regardless of the level of awareness. As an employee myself, I sometimes find it to be extremely aggravating to some of the safeguards in place to protect the employees. International Paper may not care if you have a life outside of work but insist you leave here the way you came here.

From an employee of IP they are very serious about safety. They are always trying to prevent injuries.

I am glad to see a new manager. Maybe he will pay more attation to safety out there.
