I want to know WHY the courts require it! It is not entrapment if it is a random checkpoint. If that’s the case (about the court requiring it) then why don’t they post when they are setting up roadblocks looking for a felon? Seems like the same thing to me.

Pretty stupid either way…trust me, if I was a “drinker and driver” I would look for these checkpoints prior to going out, and avoid those areas at all costs!

Dan O if you know there will be check points, but not knowing where they are located, you will be left to deliberate your options. Do you want to chance it or not?

Sorta like knowing that there is a round in the cylinder, but you just don’t know when it is going to come up.

Either way there are consequences for not knowing and consequences for getting caught.

ALL DRUNKS AVOID THIS AREA TOMORROW!!!

“Sobriety checkpoints have been successful in the past and it is anticipated this operation will be a success,” the FHP said in a media release.

It would probably be a lot more successful if they didn’t have information on the time and location of the checkpoint, don’t cha think? Oh, well. I’m sure they will still get a few of them.
