I, also, I want to thank the City Policy Officers and the County Officers that participated in bringing this situation under control without any harm to civilians. But I feel that with nine residential Burglaries in this area since November 27th that the residences of this area should have been notified. Surely there is some way that a community could be notified when there is a noticeable increase incrime in their vicinity. I live in this neighborhood just a couple of street from Whitney Dr (the Street where the Officer spotted the alleged robbers) and I am very grateful that the City Police Dept. has increased patrols in this area. First, they noticed the suspicious behavior. Then they only fired on the suspects when they tried to run them down with a car. Then the officers stayed with the suspects until they executed an arrest. That arrest occurred very shortly after the officers first noticed the suspicious guys. That, ladies and gentlemen is Protecting the Public with outstanding service to our community. Good job officers, you have my profound gratitude and respect. I expect the FDLE investigation will be rather quick and these officers back on duty in a short amount of time (assuming they were placed on Administrative leave pending the investigation). The criminals have no morals any longer, they don't care about what's right and what's wrong. Hard, Hard labor for those that break the law using a weapon, they gave up any rights they had once they broke the law. But not in our country, let's protect the ones that have committed the crime, give them a warm place to lay their big heads, give them meals, clothes, medical care. OMG, if you get shot by someone your insurance if you have it has to pay the bills or you do. But the shooter gets his medical bills taken care of by the taxpayers. Now how much since does that make.
