This area has been hit with a brick throwing jerk who busted the windshield of my daughters car as well as putting a gouge in the hood. There have been 6 reported incidents. I have noticed 2 accidents where people have been killed, one on 297a and the other on 97a. I was wondering if maybe they had bricks thrown at them and ran off the road and hit a tree trying to avoid the brick. The police’s solution is to put more cars out there and stop residents for speeding during the day NOT be there at night time when the bricks are being thrown. This area is also under construction. I can understand how they may have ran off the road and also as it is dark and deserted at night how they left the scene but they should have called it in so no one else gets hurt.

Auto parts off the suspect car left at the scene from impact, as well as descriptions from drivers that struck the debris “moments later” could easily identify the type of vehicle involved. It doesn’t take rocket scientists people, get a grip on reality!

From the vehicle? The story, like the news release from the FHP, says the driver fled. The release does not specify if the driver fled on foot or in the vehicle. If he/she fled on foot, the vehicle would have still been there when FHP arrived.

VIN probably not, how would they have got it.. as for the tag, seems like if they had the tag number, finding out who owns it should be easy.
