escambia county always does it on the traditional day unless it is on sunday! its not that hard…if u go to these other towns that decided to make it tuesday then go on tuesday…its not that confusing people

Just like the story says, there are no official times in Escambia County. The county does not set them.

Has anyone heard about trick or treating for children in escambia county?…no body has really answered the question and cannot find anything about it for this year. I am new to the area and want to take my 3yr old son that has never went before.

I wonder why there was no trunk or treat when I was a kid? We used to just go from home to home in the neighborhood, knock and say trick or treat.

Why does everyplace else have an “official” time except for escambia county? This is obviously confusing for all escambia county residents that don’t know when they are suppose to trick or treat. Also for those of us giving out candy. Should we be ready for trick or treaters for the next two nights at anytime. Come on people give us a specific time so we know when to be ready, really…Geez. How hard is that!!!

I would assume the towns set these hours, due
to children having school the following day.
And that it is mostly the businesses and churches
that are setting most of this up.
No one has to be rude about any of it, this is a
time to dress up with your children and let them
have fun. JMHO

Official trick or treat time? Considering we live in a very conservative (Republican Party) controlled area, isn’t it ironic that we can’t even have Halloween without government interference. And we were worried about becoming communists and being told what and when to do something. How silly of us!
