A monthly survey of households which has been conducted since Roosevelt. They ask if people are employed in the household, if those not employed want to be employed, work their statistical magic on the reports to decide the situation for the country.

Same as last month: Unemployment figures are not figured from unemployment benefits.

I suspect a small percentage of this is seasonal jobs or part time jobs. I haven’t seen any large scale hiring lately.
