I think it’s amazing how a loss brings out the true colors of the losing team. EWMS gave it a good run this year, but came up a couple of points short. And if it makes you sleep better at night thinking they lost due to penalties not being called, over-aged players, or the clock running at odd times, just go with that. Bottom line, EA’s defense figured out EW’s offense and they were able to give them a better game than last week!

EWMS played different people than we did because the EA we played was bigger and faster than the team EWMS played . But im not taking nothing from ernest ward they did good even though they didnt play the same people we did like most people thought

Really, please don’t ever mention NFL player’s with your team….. That is a joke! I don’t really care about how old or what grade your players are in, J.V is J.V. and Middle School is even younger, I guarantee Northview’s varsity squad would absolutely demolish your squad this year. I can only read what has been written and if older players are playing against these teams, that will only hurt the development of the younger guys. I hope it isn’t happening for those younger kids that need the playing time to get better and compete as they get older. Keep up the competitive games at all levels, its good for football.

Great game cougars ! We fought hard with our 7th, 8th, and 9th graders, if anyone don’t believe us come to EA for a day and see for yourself ! Every single starter for our JV team had to play Offense and defense the whole night without a rest shouldn’t that be an advantage ? I guess we beat Northview with NFL players since our JV team is 10th-12th graders ! #Proud Cougar

If there were only 7th, 8th, & 9th graders, how come there were fat more EA players on the sideline this time? There were only a few on the sidelines previous game. The Referees threw way too many flags against us. We would of had almost four more touchdowns if the refs weren’t picking sides. Just saying. Our boys truly deserved to have that win no matter what anyone says. I love y’all boys!

I am proud to say I am a part of a team that can play strong! And all the fans in the stands know there were bigger guys and more guys this time, and the clock was not stopped when suppose to. We also know there were yellow flags that were not thrown! You had all the crowd on their feet, screaming for the blue and gold. I am glad to be in this team. Good job football players! I love yall! You guys are like brothers to me! I hope we can keep all of this work up next year at northview!

I have attended both games between the two teams this season and both were great games. Not a single boy on the field for EA was over the age or grade limit. I think the EAfamilyshould be proud that our boys accepted defeat and came back with determination in the second game. It is disrespectful to both teams for someone to say they are an “E.A. parent”-knowing that no parent would badmouth their own school that way. Both sets of boys showed great workmanship on and off of the field the past two weeks and I think the parents should do the same. Not a single comment was made on last weeks article about the 14year old child officiating the first game…Cougar fans could have easily complained about that…but no one did because there was nothing that could be done about it after the game was over so it was dropped. The boys played their hearts out…it was a greatgame and it should be left at that.

I enjoyed the game last night even though we lost. Why all the arguing? Who won what? It was just a another game. I was at both games and the EA team last night was different, but I don’t care. If EA played outside the rules that’s on them. Ernest Ward lined up and played them anyway. Northview has a great bunch of kids coming up next year and I hope they aren’t wasted on a poorly coached JV squad that seems to be the norm there. Good Job this year Eagles you did yourself proud last night by battling back and having a chance at the end.
