As a graduate of the class of 63 from CHS, Rev. Carter was one of my favorite teachers. I always looked forward to seeing him when I come home. He lived on the same street as my family. I miss him. He was an example of true humanity.

Mr. Carter, was a much needed smiling face when I went to work at Carver Middle School 45 years ago when I needed a co-worker who cared about people to show me the ropes of loving and leading people to a better way of life. He and his wife taught me so much about the people of Century. They were both a master at making people believe they were somebody and that God loved them, always has, and always will. He will be missed. Thank you Mr. McCall for the recognition that you have given him. It was well deserved.

Rev. Carter was a US Army Veteran and a strong member of the community not only in Century but throughout Northwest Florida . . . . he was a great example of a man and will be surely missed!
