Moreover I am of the opinion that our Correctional Officers and Correctional Logistics/Support Personnel need our recongnition and support for performing a critical function in our society, that most of us would care not to worry about as we go daily about our lives. Civil institutions should be staffed by civil servants and prisons are institutions that are instruments of the Judiciary and should remain in the public realm.
