Haha so local people are the only accidents at that intersection? Just like the guy in the semi from Miami pulling out in front of our local resident Pat? Who I happen to know!

Just about every accident at this intersection is a local person being ran over by someone from out of town. As a matter of fact I can’t think of any accidents at that intersection recently that involved 2 local people, or a local person causing the accident. Just like this semi accident, if there were a light Pat would have been safe at the light, while the semi had the signal to go, or visa/versa.

I’ve said it for years and have heard many others say it, “someone important will have to die at the intersections of Tom Thumb or at the crossroads before anyone puts in a light.” Yeah it will not stop accidents 100% but if a light there saved just 1 life it would be worth the cost.

At least once maybe twice a week there are accidents at 29 & 10 mile road.

It has a light.

Better driving would go a long way.

When are they gonna raise the speed limit back to 65mph between the McDavid sawmill and Bluff Springs? They lowered it for construction and there hasn’t been any work done in about 6 mths.

And just what good is a traffic light going to do??? Most of these “accidents” have local people involved. You know, local people who day in and day out see that big red stop sign. A little red light is going to make a difference?

We need a traffic light there…we have for a long time. At least once or sometimes twice a week there is an accident there. The turn lane will just make more vehicles going in more directions at once, increasing the chance of accidents.

Hope the truckers don’t use it for parking like they do the merge lane once you turn on to 29 from 97 heading south.
