He should not have asked for the money, to begin with. That being said:

At this point, the Governor should expel all federal offices from the state, beginning with FEMA; then, stop all federal money from coming into the state; finally, stop all money going to the federal government. I would advocate the return of any FL National Guard troops back to FL and refuse to let them be under federal control.

Just sayin’. That would be called exercising the Tenth Amendment sovereignty.

So, we want 11 million to replace sand that will be washed away again with the next storm, and then want another 11 million? Doesn’t this seem ridiculous? Scott’s reason for not taking the high speed rail money is because Florida could not support the cost of it in the future, but if we get this money for the sand its okay to ask for it again, because Florida can’t support replacing it in the future? 36.7 million for 10 counties… that seems odd for a storm that did not put out much rain on Florida and really didn’t get that close…

Why do republicans act like they never want to take goverment money and always talk about the deficit, and then turn right around and beg FEMA for the same goverment money they just where saying we don’t need we have to control spending.
