Very sad indead for guys with the sad thing of making deadlines….

All the VWs going to Jimmy’s Grill in Molino were tied up in the traffic jam for about 45 minutes…and these are the older air cooled engines. Poor VWs!

Please, also remember that every time you call the police for a speeder, that police officer may be on a really importannt call. A fire, a mugging,ect… Make sure you have a good reason to call the cops. Not just because you are in a bad mood, had a bad day,ect…

All the drivers do try to be carefull, but whenyour load is at 70,000 pounds or more ,things happen. Load shifts, youtake a turn wrong.ect…. If you think all the loggers are speeding call the local police. You do have to remember that the drivers get paid by the load and don’t make much money and do try to support their familys. I am glad no one was hurt. Maybe some of you that don’t like to stop at lights will start. Maybe some of you on cell phones will turn them off to watch out for others. Ican only hope people will pay more attitionto the road and who is around you!

Well said Dawn!!!! We still live on Muscogee down by Beulah Rd. Those log trucks never slow down! We have had log trucks on three occasions almost run over School buses as they were letting The Kids off The bus!!! FHP and DOT won’t do anything. Ridiculous. Glad no one was hurt this time.

Why not have these trucks enter from the rear of the mill, where traffic flow is less dense, as opposed to hwy 29 which is always busy?

There also needs to be an overpass over the rail crossing in Cantonment, so that rail operations at the mill will stop backing up traffic all the way to Gonzalez.

Well I’m glad no one was seriously hurt BUT I used to live on Muscogee Rd and those log trucks would fly up and down that road all hours of the night! It’s as if they mistake Muscogee for the interstate! It used to scare me so bad living there because I have 2 small children and when we would be outside playing during the day I would not allow my kids to play in the front yard because of the way they drove on that road! They seriously need to slow it down. I no longer live there thank goodness but I always prayed everytime I heard a log truck coming! Oh and you can forget trying to sleep at night when they fly down the road between the hours of 12 to 6 a.m. and hit their jake brake right in front of your house!!

Lucky, if you had of made it through the light, the driver might not have driven like he/she did and there might not have been an accident. While you ponder your blessings, different actions and re-actions create many different possible results.
