Just a few facts for the good citizens, the sheriffs office only have 1 deputy assigned to the DUI unit. The sheriff in his ultimate wisdom told that deputy that he would not form a DUI unit ( a county as big as ours and no DUI unit). I BET MADD LOVES THAT!!!!! Also there were more deputies on the street back when they were on 12 hour shifts but the sheriff will not go back to them. So be safe when you drive home.

Nope. It’s just safe to assume that whoever runs this website enforced the rule that’s on every page that comments are limited to 300 words or less.

(Well, actually, the website itself automatically deleted the comment due to the excessive word county. The computer software isn’t pro any candidate!)

Hmmm? I had a comment on here that was unspinning the smear about Morgan.

Being that it seems to have vanished, I guess it is safe to assume who ever runs this website is pro-Powell and anti-1st Amendment?

I came back hoping there would be some real political discourse in relation to my comments. Instead I see media trying to influence an election by denying comments of truth that would open up real political discourse.

You know what I find funny is that past times when anything in relation to the sherriffs dept is printed on this site, high and mighty Morgan posts on the matter trying to prove his point. Guess he is scared to show his face on these posts because I know he is not actually “doing his job”. There is no reason for our deputies to be so scarce in the north end. I know for a fact that most of the time there are at least 3 deputies on duty up here. The problem is they all stay together. You see one, you usually see all three. So if there is a emergency call in Century and 5 minutes later one in Enon, chances are they will all 3 be in Century. No since in that. Put one in Walnut Hill area and leave him and have two in Century. But that will not work because they can’t all go eat at the pizza hutt together. It is definetly time for a change and we must start from the top!

It is definitely time for a change. Another shooting last night in Escambia County…It is now a nightly thing! When I got to my girlfriends last night, someone had pulled onto the side of her road and broken the 2×2’s on Powell’s 4 foot sign and had it laying on the ground. Seems some or Morgan’s supporters are worried about Powell. I don’t know who will win, but I am putting my vote on John Powell and hoping change will come!!!

What a waste of our tax dollars! Is this what we pay for? To take care of a personal agenda on taxpayer’s time! Is time for Admiral Morgan to go! Like someone already said, a shooting every day and he’s worried about his opponents contributions! Sounds like somebody is scared! Also sounds like a conflict of interest to me!

@Concerned Citizen: There has only been 1 deputy on nights/early morning for that area for years and years, it is nothing new.
