So many roads in this county are in much worse shape than the portion of Nine Mile being resurfaced. We speculated that it has to do with the Navy Federal Credit Union and the increased traffic in that area due to the number of employees they have. No one has been working for quite some time now but the speed linit is still 55. Seems like one project needs to be finished before beginning another. The road was not in bad shape. Just seemed like a waste to me. The section between Hwy 29 and Pine Forest was the section that should have been given first priority, but from what I understand that section is next in line.
