When I got out I told myself I would never EVER again put up with abuse mentally or physically. The first slightest whim I see, I'm OUT!! Life is too precious to be afraid every waken moment. Then furthermore even after arrests some victims themselves drop the charges only to become victims again later. Which kinda ties into the other half of this. SO many injunctions are applied for nowadays for neighbor disputes, work problems, just petty stuff. Judges have now made the burden of proof the petitioner has to make is even harder. They require actual prior police reports or a plethroa of witness accounts in order to have injunctions passed.
